MARCH 2002 One can be a little tense in Israel in March 2002 and the best way I found to relax was to pick a good friend from Paris and to go back to Alsace. I'm not sure it's really adviceable to visit in this season, but I had the luck of a rare summer like weather. The days were kept for exploring the region, an exploration especially enjoyable as the place was almost totally empty of tourists. Most of our days were the occasion of visits in Colmar and the surrounding villages of the "Route des Vins", of discovering the trails around them (including a meeting with a group of boars between Kaysersberg and Riquewihr !), one and only rainy day for the "Musée National de l'Automobile" in Mulhouse and finally a little jump to Freiburg in Germany in order to check that the Euro really works. The evenings were kept for some nice food and wine tastings. Back to Paris, meeting back the family and the friends was the occasion of some more festivities. Hard to beleive, but I didn't come back more fat than I was while leaving. French paradox ? |
