ORNA CHILLAG The kind of wine which makes me say that Israel is at the laboratory stage of it's wine development. Orna Chillag's winery can be described as a micro-winery and her bottles are available at only rare saling points. The surprise with this Merlot was that it much more reminded me a (good) Montepulciano d'Abbruzo I had a few days before than any other Merlot I had locally... The demonstration that things are not set for what would be an israeli style.
