PAYS D'OC
May be at the South-East of France, but still for me the wine Far-West of the country, for under similar appellations I still pain to identify vulgar plonks and truely fine wines.
The overall prestige being much less than the one of other regions, the market is flooded with many of these somewhere cheaper wines. Translating approximatively an hebrew proverb, "one should not throw the baby with the water of the bath" : there are truely good value for money among them. It's just that a little more exploration is required than just looking at the label.
