ALSACE
A handful of producers available on the market only, but selected, reknown and good ones ! Generally only generic series (where are the Comtes d'Eguisheim of Léon Beyer ?) and an offer concentrated around the Rieslings, Gewurtzraminers, Tokay-Pinot-Gris and other Muscats...
All of these are beautiful wines. The only regret is that the pricing in Israel makes that I can only occasionaly afford them.
A remarkable exception is the brilliant 1999 Sylvaner Reserve of Sparr. Almost cheap, bone dry, this is a fantastic wine with fish or sea food.
I occasionaly saw "Grand-Crus", some "Vendanges Tardives" or other "Sélections de Grains Nobles", but unless I drastically improve my performances at the Loto...
